Shooting on the Dry Farm!

Awww, shooting! Is there anything more theraputic? It's been a while since the last time I went shooting, but it didn't take me long to catch up on my skillzzzz!!! My dad and I taught the kids about shooting and gun safety and then let them give it a try. Mazzy was actually doing pretty well by the end of it. Just a fun day up on my Grandpa's dry farm. I had to throw in the beautiful view of Morgan Valley from up on the dry farm.

A Fun Weekend in Morgan!

The kids and I went up to Morgan to visit my parents this last weekend. We ended up having such a fun time. We did a little bit of everything, I think. We took the kids over to a family friend's mink farm. My mom helps during mating season and they are VICIOUS, MEAN little buggers. They may look cute but it is a good thing they are no bigger than they are or they would probably eat the human race. So my mom caught one of the females and let the kids pet that silky fur. Also at the farm they had two little colts that had just been born a few weeks ago. Is there anything cuter????Here is Brons petting the mink. We are going back the end of April to let them see the babies after they are born.
This little guy was very tired! (He looks dead, but he was not.)
This cute little filly came right over to me and let Bronson and I pet her. Too precious!

Grandpa's Mustache!

Here are the kids (Mazzy, Stryder, My Dad or Grandpa Thayne, Bronson and Kaden) showing off there mustaches, just like Grandpa! Bronson was not being very cooperative and wouldn't stick his on, so he held it, and then cried the rest of the time because he didn't want to do it. Mazzy's mustache is on upside down too, ya gotta love it! Good Times!!!!!Mazzy had to have the mustache that was most like Grandpa's.

Stryder.......man!

This last week, my HILARIOUS and extremely cute nephew Stryder had his 6th birthday. He is quite the little boy! Ya just never know what may come out of his mouth. He truly believes he is a Jedi Master and has the most active imagination with "The Force"! Happy Birthday Der!

This is Stryderman's new face, I think that it's funny that his shirt says:
"I'd SO rather be playing a video game" and that he looks like that.
This is my new favorite picture! It makes me laugh!
Bronson with Stryder at his birthday party. (Stryder is wearing his Yoda robe.) Mazzy with Stryder and the Star Wars book we got him.

More of Miss Mazzy Face!

Sorry, my last post was too big and cut these three pictures off.

According to Maz, this is what a pirate fairy looks like.Just dressing up.

Her favorite skirt to dress up in.

Miss Mazzy Face!

It has been a crazy past couple of weeks! Bronson is feeling better. He still gets pretty worn out by the end of the day, but he is doing really well for as sick as he was. And Mazzy has had her little fingers into everything lately it seems. Here's a few pictures of my sweetie.

Mazzy's first piano lesson! She is LOVING it so far. If you notice how red her cheeks are it is because she has had Slap Cheek disease. I am very serious, look it up on the internet, it is real and of course only Mazzy would get it. Don't worry, by the time your cheeks break out in this rash (that looks like your cheeks have been slapped and welted) it is not contagious anymore. WEIRD!!!! I know. According to Maz, this is what a pirate fairy looks like.
Just a dress up day.
Her princess skirt.
Mazzy decorated her first cake (ALL BY HERSELF!) She got an Easy Bake decorating pen for Christmas and while my mom was here helping with Bronson they got it out and Mazzy went to town. She did a FABULOUS job if I might add!

Tonsillectomy!

Well, Bronson had his tonsils out on Tuesday the 24th. Everything went very well. He has been such a good little boy through this entire ordeal! All of the nurses kept telling me what a GREAT little boy he was, he never cried but once. He only cried when they first took him from us. He clung to Ryan's neck just yelling "I don't want to go!" It broke my heart and of course made me cry too, but the anastesiologist that took him back said he was fine once he got him to the O.R. He let him help start up the machine and hold his mask, so of course Brons thought that was cool.

Other than that little moment, he did so well. He drank when the nurses told him, and then just slept the majority of the time in recovery. When he woke up the first time he looked at the nurse and asked her "Do you have games?" And went right back to sleep. He meant video games. We told him that when he got out of surgery and we went home, he could play video games. (Anyone that knows Brons, knows that he is obsessed with video games.) I thought it was really funny.

He is home and is doing really well. Still very pale and sore, but doesn't complain much. He doesn't have much of an appetite and has even turned down ice cream on multiple occasions, but he is on the mend. I am so proud of him and how brave he is! He's a tough little bugger, that's for sure! Glad surgery is over, now if we can just make it through the next couple of weeks and mood swings we'll be sittin' pretty!

Brons bit his lip coming out of anasetic and it started to swell. Both corners of his mouth are split too from having to open his mouth so wide during surgery. Ouch!! (A little loopy from meds and everything, too)
One of the times he woke up, Ryan asked him if he wanted to play a game on his phone. Brons was half asleep and his eyes opened wide and he said "What?" "A Game?" So he played for about 2 min. and passed right back out. And yes he was really that pale!

This was when we first got back to the recovery room with him. He looked so tiny and fragile in that bid bed!

Time Flies.

Where has the time gone? I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up. I was looking through our family videos and came across this. It made me smile! Mazzy was only 2 and Bronson was 6 months old. What a little CHUB!!! Notice how he only laughs when Maz shakes the the toy, (not so funny when Momma does it.) Enjoy!

Longing for Good Weather.

I was looking through camping pictures and came across this one. It made me want summer to be here. I am sick of the cold and all the sickness that comes along with it. My little Bronson is so sick right now, and no matter what we do he is just not getting better. He is on his 3rd antibiotic in a month! Running fevers off and on! His surgery is next Tuesday, but if his cough (which he has had for 3 weeks) is not cleared up by then, we will have to post pone. I don't think he can take much more and I know I can't. I feel helpless and all I can do is pray that we can get him well enough to get those tonsils out to get him better! So I want nice warm weather and no more illnesses. I know it's not going to happen, but I need something to look forward to. I guess it will come soon enough. So for now, I will daydream of good times to come.

Mr. Take it Apart!

From the time Bronson was a baby, he has always been fascinated by the way things were put together and taken apart. He has his own little tool box and loves to try and be
like Daddy, ya know, fixing things around the house and any other little
thing. So he got his little screw driver and took out every screw in both of his little semi trucks
and put them back together. What a little boy!

He has been really sick the past month with his tonsils. He has been on 3 different antibiotics in 1 month to try and kill the infection in his body, this last one has finally worked. We decided
we didn't want to chance anymore with him so I took him the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist
yesterday and the Doc has scheduled a tonsillectomy for Feb. 24.
Yup, those nasty little tonsils are coming out. Now, the battle is keeping him healthy until
then. I am glad to be getting them out, but it always makes me VERY uneasy
to have either of my kids go under anaesthetics. I do not like it, but I know it needs to be done
to get Brons back on his feet.

Little Pixie!

Last week Mazzy was invited to a Pixie party. She was so excited she could hardly stand it.
She wanted me to make her look exactly like a Pixie would.
So we put fairy dust in her hair to make it sparkle with a flower and vanilla fairy sparkles
on her cheeks and eyes. She was happy with the outcome.
She totally had a blast at her party.

Update on my Little Cuties!

Mazzy is continuing to do very well in school. She is in Kindergarten and loving it. Her teacher says she is a great student and she is so helpful. She is reading on a First Grade level and amazes me how smart she is. She is so kind to everyone. She and Ryan have a standing agreement that she has to make a new friend everyday. I believe she has made every attempt to do this.
She recently just shared with us that she got in trouble at school (it was her 2nd week in school). It took us 30 min. to get out of her what she did wrong. After 20 min. she confessed that she was hiding. That was all she would tell us. So we finally told her that she had already gotten in trouble and we would not punish her, but we needed to know if her teacher treated her fairly. After 30 min. of her crying and us coaxing her, she told us. She was hiding in the coat room waiting to scare kids as they came out of the bathroom. Ryan and I looked at each other and totally lost it. We laughed so hard! We told her that was probably a good reason to get in trouble. Kids are great! If that is the worst thing she does I can live with that! Other than that we are trying to get her started with piano lessons, which I am sure she will be great at. She is such a joy and blessing in our lives.
Bronson is doing very well with his speech therapy. He has almost conquered the c,k sounds and is starting on g sounds. He is very timid when it comes to class time, but does very well with his one on one with the teacher. He has been very good to work with me everyday on his speech homework. He has been having some problems with his tonsils lately, so I am assuming he will be getting them out sometime in the near future. Hopefully I am wrong, but I doubt it at the rate he is going. Anyway, he is a little tease! And always has some random, funny thing to say to Ryan and me. His new favorite thing to tell me when I ask him to do something is "Nope, Never" and runs away with a smile. He thinks that he is a Jedi and is always fighting Darth Vader. He has discovered lately that he likes to sing. His little cousin, Stryder, sings everything under the sun, he hears a song once and never forgets it. It is quite amazing. Well Stryder has been teaching Bronson songs to sing and lately he sings "blood on yours face, you big disgwace, kickin' yours can all ober da place, sing it WE WILL WE WILL ROCK YOU!!!" It is quite comical! He brightens my day and my life. I am so blessed to have the two beautiful kids that I do.

Bronson Just Kickin' It.

Here is Bronson just kickin' back and relaxing watching a movie on our bed after a long day at church. (Is this a typical boy or what?)
