Bangs!

I thought that I was going to be one of the few mother's who never had to deal with a child who cut their own hair! I was wrong! Friday night Mazzy was playing around with her hair and putting it into ponytails. Well the elastic got stuck in her hair and instead of asking me for help, she decided to get the scissors and cut the elastic out. Well when she did, she also cut a chunk of her hair out too! Ryan caught her and brought her to me, tears were rolling down her cheeks and I got "I'm so sorry mom!" My sister-in-law, Sarah, was there and was trying to contain her laughter! I wanted to yell at her but I knew that it wouldn't help anything and she was plainly very sorry, so I controlled myself very well! Oh well, what can ya do? Luckily Jane, our hairdresser neighbor, worked her in on Saturday to even it out and hide it with some bangs!

She reminds me of a little Flapper girl! She just needs a fringed dress and a head band with a feather, don't ya think? Mazzy REALLY likes her hair this way and I guess that's all that matters!

A Bruiser and a 1st Grader!

For those of you who do not know, Bronson has had some REALLY BAD luck with his front tooth since he was about 18 months old. He fell out of his highchair booster seat twice right on the same tooth within a matter of months of each other. He bruised the tooth pretty badly then and it died.
This past year (I think it was in January) he was eating some ribs with Ryan and bit down on the bone and completely knocked the tooth loose. (Ouch!) About a month later it started to miraculously firm back up, when Ryan was playing around with him and put his shirt over Bronson's head. When he pulled it off of him it snagged his tooth and ripped it forward and all the way loose again! (OUch!) So his little tooth was super loose and sticking out a little bit more than the others.
Now mind you the poor kid has not been able to bite straight down on ANYTHING for months now because of this tooth and because it is so loose and hurts to bite anything. So he has been eating everything off to the side of his mouth.
The end of June, this year, he was jumping off of our retaining wall out front and jumped off and his face hit his knees! Imagine this, he hit his tooth AGAIN. (It was just starting to firm back up again!) This time he knocked it up into his gums a little and back into place! (OUCh!!) This was REALLY painful for him! After a few hours, it finally popped out of his gums and looked fairly normal! It really wasn't all that loose anymore! A Miracle? Think again!
That VERY SAME week he was having a sleepover at our friends (The Hammerstrom's) house and there little boy was climbing over Bronson and just happened to knee him right in the mouth! (An accident, of course) So I had to go and get him! The tooth was so loose that it felt like it would fall out at any moment, but it doesn't! (OUCH!!!)
So yesterday he was playing with his cousins, now mind you his darn little tooth was firming back up AGAIN. Somehow Bronson and Kaden's mouth and head collided and this time FINALLY knocked the tooth out! (OUCH, OUCH!!!!!!) He cried for quite a while this time, blood pouring out of his mouth! It was REALLY REALLY painful this time! So after the color came back into his face and the swelling went down around his gums, he was excited to eat and not have to be careful with his tooth!
I told him the Tooth Fairy would come and leave him money for his tooth, and now he could eat however he wanted! So this morning he woke up to money under his pillow and a very Happy little boy! He will probably be toothless for 2 to 3 years until the grown up tooth comes in, but at least we don't have to worry about it absessing or anything like that anymore! The FORCES were against this little tooth, that's for sure! So now he is truly our little Bruiser! We told him to tell people, "You should see the other guy!" This morning my Mazzy face started 1st grade! She is in Mrs. Butler's class. She is in a 1st and 2nd grade split class! So when I took her over I realized she is in with all the 2nd graders in the 2nd grade area! She looked so little compared to a lot of them. The teacher is arranging it so the 1st graders in that class (which are not very many) can still go out to recess with the other 1st graders, so I was glad about that! She seemed excited and nervous at the same time! She's a smart little girl so I know this will be GREAT for her! I just can't believe my little girl is going to school ALL day now! Time sure goes by fast!

Here she is in her "rock star" outfit (as she calls it) and her new haircut she wanted to start school with.

Camping with My Fam! (More Pictures)

Here's the last of the pics from this vaca. It was so fun hiking, riding the 4 wheelers and the Go Cart. It was a nice relaxing get away from the real world. I love, Love, LOVE the mountains in Morgan, these pics do not do them justice!

Here are the munchkins on the 4 wheeler with Gramp.
(Mazzy, my Dad (Thayne), Bronson and Stryder.)
The kids and me on our hike.

Mazzy being a monkey and climbing the quakie trees.

Like I said, these pictures do not do justice for how BEAUTIFUL it is up there.

Just a pic from the top of a 4 wheeling trail.

Camping with My Fam!

So I got home from our "kidless" Bear Lake Trip #3 (I will post later when I get the pics from my sis) and I was home for a day and left for Morgan with the kids. Ryan had to work so he couldn't come:( We went up to Hardsgrabble, which is the pretty side of the Wasatch mountains. It was so nice and relaxing for me and the kids had so much fun playing in the creek, the dirt, and hiking.

Here are the kids playing in the creek.

The kids were climbing up this really steep dirt part of the hill and they all took there turn falling or sliding down it. The picture does not do justice to how FILTHY and DUSTY they really were. They were not happy that I told them to quit playing on THAT hill!!!

Bear Lake Trip #2

Ryan's parents got in on all the fun at the fam reunion. It brought a smile to my face.
Here we all are on the water weenie. Ry's dad Ray decided to give it a try after all the years he's pulled everyone else around on one. He made it for I think 6 rounds of dumping and climbing back on!

After the fam reunion we headed to a cabin at Bear Lake and met up with our friends, Brett, Jaycee and their cute kids, Bryce and Christi, and our good friend Rachael and her kids (she flew in from Colorado just to be with us), and Mark. We had a GREAT time!

Ryan was telling me something, when Mazzy jumped on his back and dunked him in mid sentence. It was kinda funny!

Jones Reunion at Bear Lake (Trip #2)

Ryan's "Jones" family reunion was up at Bear Lake this year. It was so fun! We stayed at the top of Logan canyon and left on Bronson's actual birthday. We went over to the Minnetonka Caves and went through the hour and a half guided tour. It was so cool. It is a constant 40 degrees in there. Also it is 444 steps in and 444 steps out. This is coming out of the cave.

This is Kermit the Frog's castle.

We brought up cupcakes for everyone to celebrate Bronson's birthday and sang to him. He thought it was pretty cool to have 2 birthdays this year.

Bronson through the Years

What more can I say...he is ADORABLE!!!! I can't believe how much he has grown and changed the past 5 years!

Here he is at a whopping 3 years old.

Brons (age 3) put on Mazzy's fairy wings, stood on the couch and said.."Me fly Momma" it was so cute! I'm sure he will love this pic when he's older!

Bronson's 4 year old pic that Ryan took.

This is his 5 year old pic that Ryan took, just a day before we buzzed his hair off!

Bronson through the Years

Here is my happy sweet little baby boy. He was usually ALWAYS smiling and doing something silly. He really was a good baby, he still is a good little boy!

This is one of the few pics I have of Bronson in his molding helmet. For those of you who do not know, he had a very bad flat spot on the back of his head, so they put this helmet on him for 3 and half months, 23 hours a day until it pushed his skull back to normal. He was a little trooper.

Bronson through the Years

On July 21, 2004 we were blessed with Bronson Ryan Jones. He was a true little miracle in our lives. It was not an easy time getting him here and keep him in till term. Everyday he has blessed us with his sweet personality. He is such a loving, funny, caring little boy. I do not know what I would ever do without him and his ADORABLE little dimples!

Even though he is 5 we are holding him back from Kindergarten. He is just not emotionally ready yet and still is working very hard on his speech. So he will be going to Preschool and Speech Therapy for this year and this should give him the extra time to feel comfortable with everything that school has to offer.

I am going to post a few more pictures of him, I can't get more than 5 pictures on my posts, don't know why, so I will move on to the next one.

My baby is 5?????

My little Bronson turned 5 years old on July 21. I can not believe how fast the time has gone by! It feels just like yesterday he was put in my arms! We had the whole family over for his annual water slide party, homeade raspberry ice cream, cake....what could be better? He got tons of Transformer things, Star Wars things, everything a typical little boy would want! It was such a fun day! Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with him!!!

And yes, Sarah (my sister-in-law) and I had to give the slide a try! It was SPECTACULAR!
