Longing for Good Weather.

I was looking through camping pictures and came across this one. It made me want summer to be here. I am sick of the cold and all the sickness that comes along with it. My little Bronson is so sick right now, and no matter what we do he is just not getting better. He is on his 3rd antibiotic in a month! Running fevers off and on! His surgery is next Tuesday, but if his cough (which he has had for 3 weeks) is not cleared up by then, we will have to post pone. I don't think he can take much more and I know I can't. I feel helpless and all I can do is pray that we can get him well enough to get those tonsils out to get him better! So I want nice warm weather and no more illnesses. I know it's not going to happen, but I need something to look forward to. I guess it will come soon enough. So for now, I will daydream of good times to come.

Mr. Take it Apart!

From the time Bronson was a baby, he has always been fascinated by the way things were put together and taken apart. He has his own little tool box and loves to try and be
like Daddy, ya know, fixing things around the house and any other little
thing. So he got his little screw driver and took out every screw in both of his little semi trucks
and put them back together. What a little boy!

He has been really sick the past month with his tonsils. He has been on 3 different antibiotics in 1 month to try and kill the infection in his body, this last one has finally worked. We decided
we didn't want to chance anymore with him so I took him the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist
yesterday and the Doc has scheduled a tonsillectomy for Feb. 24.
Yup, those nasty little tonsils are coming out. Now, the battle is keeping him healthy until
then. I am glad to be getting them out, but it always makes me VERY uneasy
to have either of my kids go under anaesthetics. I do not like it, but I know it needs to be done
to get Brons back on his feet.

Little Pixie!

Last week Mazzy was invited to a Pixie party. She was so excited she could hardly stand it.
She wanted me to make her look exactly like a Pixie would.
So we put fairy dust in her hair to make it sparkle with a flower and vanilla fairy sparkles
on her cheeks and eyes. She was happy with the outcome.
She totally had a blast at her party.

Update on my Little Cuties!

Mazzy is continuing to do very well in school. She is in Kindergarten and loving it. Her teacher says she is a great student and she is so helpful. She is reading on a First Grade level and amazes me how smart she is. She is so kind to everyone. She and Ryan have a standing agreement that she has to make a new friend everyday. I believe she has made every attempt to do this.
She recently just shared with us that she got in trouble at school (it was her 2nd week in school). It took us 30 min. to get out of her what she did wrong. After 20 min. she confessed that she was hiding. That was all she would tell us. So we finally told her that she had already gotten in trouble and we would not punish her, but we needed to know if her teacher treated her fairly. After 30 min. of her crying and us coaxing her, she told us. She was hiding in the coat room waiting to scare kids as they came out of the bathroom. Ryan and I looked at each other and totally lost it. We laughed so hard! We told her that was probably a good reason to get in trouble. Kids are great! If that is the worst thing she does I can live with that! Other than that we are trying to get her started with piano lessons, which I am sure she will be great at. She is such a joy and blessing in our lives.
Bronson is doing very well with his speech therapy. He has almost conquered the c,k sounds and is starting on g sounds. He is very timid when it comes to class time, but does very well with his one on one with the teacher. He has been very good to work with me everyday on his speech homework. He has been having some problems with his tonsils lately, so I am assuming he will be getting them out sometime in the near future. Hopefully I am wrong, but I doubt it at the rate he is going. Anyway, he is a little tease! And always has some random, funny thing to say to Ryan and me. His new favorite thing to tell me when I ask him to do something is "Nope, Never" and runs away with a smile. He thinks that he is a Jedi and is always fighting Darth Vader. He has discovered lately that he likes to sing. His little cousin, Stryder, sings everything under the sun, he hears a song once and never forgets it. It is quite amazing. Well Stryder has been teaching Bronson songs to sing and lately he sings "blood on yours face, you big disgwace, kickin' yours can all ober da place, sing it WE WILL WE WILL ROCK YOU!!!" It is quite comical! He brightens my day and my life. I am so blessed to have the two beautiful kids that I do.

Bronson Just Kickin' It.

Here is Bronson just kickin' back and relaxing watching a movie on our bed after a long day at church. (Is this a typical boy or what?)

Milk for desert?????

The other night at dinner, Ryan kept telling the kids he had an awesome desert for them. The whole time we were eating they kept asking "what are we having for desert dad?", "what is it?" "Dad, what are we having?" "Dad, what is it?" well you get the point. Kids are very persistent when they want something, right? So we clean up dinner and the kids sit down at the table and are waiting so anxiously. Then Ryan reaches in the fridge, asks the kids if they are ready for this AWESOME desert, they scream YES! and out he pulls a gallon of milk and slams it on the table. He says here ya go, this is desert. Bronson bursts into tears and Mazzy exclaims "milk for desert, you have got to be kidding me!!??" Well of course Ryan lets this go on for a minute or two when he finally gets out the chocolate chip cookies for them to dip into their milk. They honestly thought that that was the greatest desert they had ever had. Go figure, kids are so easily pleased, at least in my household!

My Birthday!

My 30th birthday was WONDERFUL! Saturday night Ryan took me on a date. We went and seen the movie Yes Man, which I thought was hilarious! And then we went to dinner. It was a fun night just me and my hubby, we don't do that often enough. I am so lucky to be married to someone so loving and fun!
Sunday morning (the big day) I woke up to my kids just waiting to give me my presents. I was half ready for church and they just couldn't stand it any longer, so I had to open my presents. Bronson picked out some very yummy strawberry/lime gum, Mazzy got me a bag of mini twix candy bars and my AWESOME husband (and Maz and Brons) got me a 90 min. massage to Massage Envy. I am looking forward to it!!!
My family came over after church to celebrate the big 30. My mom made me lasagna (my favorite that she makes) and for desert...lemon meringue pie and homemade brownies (yum). It was just fun having my fam around and visiting and laughing together. Thanks everyone for celebrating with me.

Happy 30th to me!

Alright, so on Sunday January 25 I am turning the big 30. I can't believe that I have lived to be THIS OLD! I'm totally kidding of course. I just remember thinking, when I was around 15, how OLD 30 sounded. But now that I am here, I feel like I am still in my early 20's. Mazzy is planning my birthday party so I will keep everyone posted on what we do! Maz can hardly stand it, she tells me everyday that I am going to LOVE my party. I'm so lucky to have such a cute, sweet little daughter!

More Sledding Movies.

Here are the rest of our sledding movies. I have to say, the movie on the right scared me to death! Mazzy was trying to get on the sled with Brons and when she couldn't she let go of him. Somehow he made a sharp curve coming down the hill and hit this jump. Now the entire time we were there, kids and adults were purposefully going off of it and of course most everyone was crashing and rolling all over the place. There were kids crying because they were hurt from it, so we were trying to steer clear of it. But somehow Bronson's sled turned right into it. My motherly instincts kicked in and I prepared for the worst as I ran to him and Ryan of course was a typical guy and just proud that his little 4 year old boy took the jump like a man, better than any of the older kids. When I got to him he turned over and said "WOW!" with a big grin! Go figure.

Crazy sledders!

Here's one of the videos, I have a great one of Bronson, but I have to wait for Ryan to rotate it so that you don't get a kink in your neck watching it. So this is it for now.

Sledding at the golf course.

I have a couple of videos from sledding that I will post in the next couple of days or so, I just need to get them off the other computer. Be on the lookout for them.

Somehow Mazzy ended up going down the hill sideways, but still made it down pretty fast, and it was obviously fun.
I think Bronson's face speaks for itself.

More Christmas Pictures!

Ryan and I at my family's Christmas Party.
My aunt and her two youngest kids were able to come down to our house for a little while on Christmas day. This is them all in their Christmas jammies pulling a "funny face" so sweet!

Mazzy always loves to recieve clothes!!!

Santa brought Bronson his very own computer, now maybe he'll lay off mom and dad about playing their computer??

Christmas Pictures!

Here's my sleepy kids Christmas morning, we had to wake them up at 9 a.m.Here we are on Christmas Eve, Ryan's family always does skits and so we did a spoof of "The Night Before Christmas." (The smoke it encircled his head like a wreath....get it?)

The kids snuggling Daddy on Christmas Eve.

My sister and her family came down to our house to go to Temple Square. This is Bronson, Mazzy, Stryder, and Kaden. Cute little cousins.
